Earth Day: Our Students Care for the Planet

Every year, Earth Day reminds us that small actions at school and at home can protect air, water, soil, and biodiversity. At Shri Raghunath Ji Academy (SRJ Academy), learners across grades came together in our corridors and assembly spaces with hand-made posters, symbols of recycling and water conservation, and fresh green branches to honour nature. The energy was joyful, curious, and deeply responsible.

The large “EARTH DAY” display featured the Earth at the centre with simple drawings around it—planting saplings, saving water, saying no to plastic waste, and caring for animals and forests. Wearing house colours, students stood proudly beneath the Shri Raghunath Ji Academy nameboard, showing that environmental literacy is part of the same values we teach in classrooms every day.

Teachers guided discussions on how each child can reduce waste, reuse resources, and support a cleaner campus. More photos from the day are in our Image Gallery, and you can read our full event page on Earth Day Celebration.

Learning Beyond the Textbook

Activities like Earth Day help children connect science and social responsibility. When they design posters, speak in front of peers, and explain ideas about clean water or energy saving, they practise communication, teamwork, and citizenship—skills that matter long after the school bell rings.
